Can't change username on ps3 log in

Ok, so I played the beta on the PS3 and at that time I wasn't able to log into my regular account. So I ended up making another account just so I could play and try out the beta. Long story short, I have both versions of the game and I'm not having any issues with the pc version (other than 1017) but I can't log into the game on the ps3 version. Every time I try to log on for the first time on the ps3 where it asks you to set up your account and then asks if you already have one, I click yes and it prompts me to the log in screen. The thing is, I can't change the username. The username is using my beta account (I delete account a day before launch) and it's whited out so no matter how many times I click on it, the in game keyboard won't pop up. The keyboard does pop up for the password and one-time pass section.

I delete and re-installed the game, delete the main save and game saves from my beta account on the ps3, I've registered both games to my main account and linked my ps3 gametag to my square account and still I can't get the change the username. I sent an email to support but it's been 7 days since I got that they received my ticket and still haven't heard back from them.

Anyone else have/had the same problem?

Because A PSN Account can only be linked to 1 SE account, I know I read that somewhere before I even registered my PS3 code for beta or EA. Not sure of where, but I distinctly remember it, so because your PSN Account is linked to your beta account you CANNOT link it to another SE Account, not sure if you can get them unlinked, and not sure if you'd have to contact Sony or SE about it either.

This is what I remember, if I'm wrong, someone can feel free to correct me, that and I'm not the best at explaining things.

Dranio is right, to the best of my knowledge. The problem is that your old username is linked to your current PS Network account. I remember Square saying that the link cannot be undone but you should contact them nonetheless as there may be something they can do.

Thanks for the reply guys, I taught it would be like the pc where you can log on as long as the game is registered to your square account but I guess not. I'll keep trying to contact them about it.
