Launcher crashes after signing in?

EDIT: I FOUND THE ISSUE!

Look in your e-mail folder. There should be an email called "Notification Regarding Login Restriction‏". Go to that email, change your password and try to log in again. Worked for me.


So I've encountered a really interesting bug when trying to log in.



It happens immediately after I enter my account information and click "log in".

I didn't have this issue yesterday; it only showed up after my launcher installed the new patch.

Yes, I've done the ordinary precautions: rebooted my computer, ran it as administrator, etc. The only thing I haven't done is reinstall, and I'd really rather not do that for obvious reasons. But given as you can't even log into the servers, I suppose now wouldn't be too bad of a time as any.

Anyone else having this issue or is it just me? Has anyone found a solution?

Having the same issue...

Thought it could be something related with me having downloaded the game today to a new machine (i'm far from my regular machine) and imagined it could be corrupt files or something.

Sorry to hear about your problem but somehow it makes me feel i'm not the only one (which is good for my particular problem)

Yeah, I was able to play perfectly fine before this new patch.

And since you just downloaded the game today, I doubt a reinstall would fix anything... this is annoying.

I have this happen after getting a 90k crash, or blue screen of death or if I leave the computer on overnight.
Restarting the computer always fixes this for me. That's the only advice I can offer. Sorry!

I can't even get into the character screen.

I keep getting error 2002. I already know I can play online games, seeing as I have rift open RIGHT NOW. So Its Final Fantasy that is the issue...
