wondering how he got it to show the proper gpu.... Unless they happned to fix detection... The only thing i can think of is they actually gave u the nvidia gpu that isnt optimus... But some how your intel hd card is still considered present...


But as far as your origional theroy about your gpu using the intel part of DX its it would be impossible as the way intel and nvidia render direct x are different.

ah well.. did say it a bit wrong. Just tried to say that the gtx680m is a full directx11 and though dx11 is backwards compatible with dx9, there are always dx9 parts/coding that dont work as optimised on dx11-only cards compared to cards that also can use dx9 (which is about 100% of the desktop cards and 90% of the laptop cards )). Though alot of it works perfectly fine, its just very small parts that arent fully 100% co-oping. Its like using a pen to draw a picture... sure its possible, but a pencil will always work better :P

you know what.. im going to make the game 100% use my intel hd4000 and see what difference tha makes in towns. See how that changes performance in cities as the intel one should work better with directx9 :P
