I'll just go ahead and assume that since you're running water cooling everything is ok on the thermal front. When you did your wattage calculation did you factor in the radiators as well? Assuming they're running off the PSU and not external power. It might be a pain but I'd recommend picking up a higher-wattage psu from a store with a good return policy. Probably a 650w with your setup. Hook it up and test it out and see if there's any changes. If it didn't fix anything take it back. Or if it did fix it and you can find a better deal online and don't mind waiting take it back

If you're absolutely confident in your hardware then I'd recommend backing up your bios profile ( if you can ) and then defaulting the BIOs and start benchmarking and torture testing to check stability.

I'm not too crazy about the guide but there's a lot of decent free software for benchmarking and torture testing on this site:

Slowly build your overclock up till you can narrow down where it can't take it anymore and then find a happy medium between thermal performance and high O/C number. I probably don't have to tell you this, but those who aren't aware, even with a high # and thermal stability you can still squeeze out more performance at lower overclocks when the thermal limit isn't border-lined.

Worst case you can always check to see if there's a firmware update for the video card, or just RMA it.

I haven't had a crash on my 4870, nor the new 7870 I bought two days ago.

Catalyst 13.8 Beta 1 drivers causes crashes, this had been fixed in the 18.2 Beta 2 drivers, use the AMD Driver uninstaller and re-install the Beta 2 drivers

2x 5770s (dont hate on my dated cards!) using 13.8 beta 2 with no issues. haven't tried anything newer than that though.
