What is being done about crashes from AMD Video card users?

Tired of the solution being told "AMD is trash"... I am not buying another 200-300 dollar card for one game.

I have everything turned all the way down when I should be able to play max. Plus I am still getting random slow downs followed by a crash half the time.

I am running the latest beta drvier.. The game crashes with non beta and beta drivers.


Anyway here is my setup for people saying its crap parts..

Could the problem be something else in your system? Are you running the latest drivers for your entire system?

I have a AMD 6970 and the game hasn't crashed once since head-start. I'm running the latest AMD official drivers. I never use beta drivers.

Not sure what would be causing this.

I have an AMD card and can run the game flawlessly at max, and it isn't a top-tier card. Update CCC to the most current version, and let us know what happens. Even if you think you have the latest drivers, just reinstall them anyway.

What crashes?..

Tons of people running crossfire or certain amd cards get random crashes.

I have been running the latest drivers.. Switched to beta drivers as suggested in another thread still having random slow downs and crashes.

What model video card? Also, it's not just AMD, I regularly crash with my Nvidia card.

I've never crashed and I'm on an old 5770 - You may want to check your hardware and drivers. My brother's fiancee crashed once but she's on an extremely old card that is no longer supported so it's safe to say the crashes are localized.

The main cause for issues is people don't understand how to uninstall/install graphics drivers on either end, which end up cluttering and conflicting.

It's a driver issue with AMD and not a user issue, you might want to try the 13.8 beta 2 drivers. I had a lot of crashes, microstutter and framedrops using vanilla 13.8 but beta 2 fixed it.

I haven't crashed at all running an HD 7770 with the Phenom II X4 945 3Ghz. Except when Alt+Tabbing between programs.


Off topic would the HD7950 get me 60fps max settings?
