Seeing all the 3102's here in the forums and I've been 3102 for over 2 hours now, Im guessing theres still no afk kick function. Might be a good idea to try, SE.

Why, just because hundreds of people let their toon logged in over several hours standing idle while others can not logged in due to limited capacities? I do not see a problem there![]()

From several users on some of our more congested Worlds, we have received requests for a feature which automatically logs out characters who are AFK for an extended period of time. We are actively looking into the implementation of such a feature, but have decided to first concentrate our efforts on increasing the number of Worlds and optimizing the Duty Finder servers.
That's a stupid decision. AFK players exacerbate the concurrent login problem. At least make it to where the concurrent logins are actively being used and not hogged up by afk people trying to save a slot for later. Common sense people.
Why such a feature, which is totally common and quite necessary for MMORPGs was not implemented at start is still far from my understanding. It's not 2003 anymore....
This feature would resolve the 3012 error as well.
May or may not solve 3012 error. If their servers are not synched up, their login / lobby whatever servers may think you are still in game and give you 3012. But you are actually not in game, in the world server, so there is no character to kick out.
No clue how they set up things, but I can see how maybe AFK kick would not fix 3012.
MANTASTIC: I got 1017 problems, but playing FFXIV ain't one.
Llyren: Lala Tanks hit point density levels attract small planets
