Since character creation is suspended, will there be free server transfers?

My situation is this...I have 16 classes at 50 and play on Excalibur (legacy NA server that is currently blocking new character creation). My wife is REALLY wanting to play and I REALLY want to take her up on the offer, but we have held off her for almost 2 weeks now because she can't create a new character and I'm not too thrilled about starting over at this point.

Has there been any communication that says if they will offer server transfers (paid or otherwise) or that they will eventually allow more characters to be created on the servers that are currently blocked? I was hoping that it would be possible after last night's maintenance and woke up at 5am just to ensure her spot but no dice Thanks for reading/input

I would like to know this as well, all I want to do is create a character on my friends server and it is still locked after the maintenance that I "thought" was supposed to fix all the issues.

I have heard that character transfers will be enabled sometime later in the month (assuming it doesn't get pushed back), but I have not heard of a free transfer being available after the screw up that was the relaunch of the game.

I won't be able to provide sources on this as I'm too lazy to look for them and was told by a friend who's in the same situation that you are. If they log in at some point soon and I get to speak with them, I'll see if they can dig it up for you.
