Steps:
1 I was on the Fieldcraft Leve : Mining Cedarwood.
2 Ran to leve-specified mining node and observed a player character at the node in active mode (Tool out).
3 Chat log began to show the success and failure attempts of the player character.
4 Observed no harvesting animations of the player while the chat log was showing harvesting action.
5 Engaged the mining node and began to mine.
6 Observe my own mining animations. I still do not see the other player character animation, but the log continues to show their actions.
7 Observed the other player character animation going into passive mode (Putting tool away).
8 Other player character runs away.

I don't see other peoples' Mining and or Botany gathering animations when they are at gathering nodes; I only see mine. When I see other people at nodes, they appear to just stand there while the chat log shows they are making success or failure attempts.
(Fishing Animations are OK)
Is this common for any one else?

I only notice this for the Leve nodes. At the non-Leve nodes I see others' animations.

I thought this was intentional to speed up gathering on leves, but I guess I'm wrong?

I have updated my post. I hope this provides better information on the matter.

Its not a bug. You don't see the animation because there isn't a node there...only the leve owner can see it. If you happen to be in party sharing his leve you will see the animation.

I was on a leve that wanted me to mine the same node that player was also mining. It is a fair assumption we were both on the same leve.

5 Engaged the mining node and began to mine.

I would like to add that I started noticing the lack of animations, while gathering with both mining and botany, back with the patch that changed the gathering animation speed. This is only one instance of not being able to see other player character gathering animations that I am reporting.
