Phew! I thought it was just for ONE attack or something. Glad to know, I will work on a rotation to definitely add that in.
Do we also have the shortest cooldowns?
Dragon Kick always applies its debuff while in perfect balance.
Arm of Destroyer will always apply Silence in Perfect balance

In fights where there is a lot of dodging and movement required like Ultima weapon, monks do a lot better than BLM for example, since BLM has to interrupt his castings all the time to dodge.
Correct me if I'm wrong (and apologies if it's already been mentioned, i only really read the first 2 pages and skimmed the third), but couldn't a monk easily activate fists of wind to chase down moving monsters and keep the GL up? I've noticed that using skills while moving (while not showing most of the animation) still connect as long as you're in range, so a running battle seems plausible.
FoW enables you to not get as many "skill interrupts" yes it happens a lot to mnks since they have no range. You would start a skill then it cancels, because all calculations are applied "after" the animation.Correct me if I'm wrong (and apologies if it's already been mentioned, i only really read the first 2 pages and skimmed the third), but couldn't a monk easily activate fists of wind to chase down moving monsters and keep the GL up? But it won't help as much in running out of aoes. the dash is too long CD, and unlike drgs that can do it all, you have a time limit.
But half the time it's because most mnks are too l33t and do stupidly long rotations that will kill their grease at the first lag. A simple 1-2-3 combination will be enough to sustain grease for about 50-80% of the non-target change encounters. Sure it cuts down on damage, but grease is crazy important because right after aoe you're safe for a rotation or 2.
Seeing all those crazy mnk rotations on the board makes me wonder what kind of advice it's telegraphing to the start-up mnks...

Guys, it's impossible to have a perfect balanced game, and of course, why would all DPS roles do same DPS ?
ALSO, please, keep in mind that Square Enix will do make some changes... on some jobs, with time. Last thing you want is leveling a job only because you think it's OP, and once you reach 50, it gets nerfed !
Lastly, it's also how you play the job. Have fun out there... I'm just sick to hear the eternal debate of wich DPS is better.
Some are specialised in Single target, others in AoE, some bring nice buffs.
FF14 gives you the opportunity to design a complex and almost unique DPS job.. build it as you feel it's right, love your creation, have fun and stop QQ about how weak you or others think you are.
My last advice is : play something you like, not something you think it's OP or popular. You need to be confortable about how you play your job, that's how you actually play that job good, and that's how you optimise your DPS role.
Every expansion is a release of new content. I'm not going to argue semantics, but it seems you want to in an attempt to invalidate my example and prove to yourself that you were right. Blizzard has consistently underestimated the time it would take to clear new endgame content after TBC. It's newly released content. Just because it's an expansion doesn't mean shit. People clear it in under 48 hours.
