So I log out last night, content with doing so as problems were apparently getting fixed. Turn to this morning post-patch install, and guess who greets me as I optimistically attempt to log in?

1017 man. 1017.

My bad on not fully reading the team's post regarding this maintenance. Looks like they're gonna be rolling out restrictions for short time periods and toggling them, so I guess we'll see what happens later today. Sorry!

I waited a few hours after the servers were up, figuring the login rush would be over. I still got 1017.

But after about 5 minutes I got in.

I'm going to log in and out on my second account throughout the day to see what happens. I've been generally supportive of SE and understanding of their efforts, but if this isn't cleared up by tonight, I'm going to start getting a bit unhappy :/

You do realize that they specifically said they would continue throttling logins today in order to combat the login rush and to confirm the servers are handling the load right? I swear it's as if you people on this forums never read the maintenance notes.

Ahahaha, ;D I couldn't care less about 1017. I'm still getting the same thing too but what is more annoying is the fact that Square Enix failed to implement a kick function for the party leader. All of these disconnects and trolls are definitely a mark against Square Enix's "revision" of a bad MMORPG. Honestly, what were they thinking? We'd all play nice and everyone would have a stable, bug-free, client with a 24/7 uptime connection?
