    Skipping all trash?

    I understand that this was done in the original FFXIV for dungeons, but does anybody actually prefer running straight to bosses? Wonder what was going through their heads at the time . This simply makes dungeons feel like a chore, instead of fun like it was meant to be. Seriously, monsters should follow you indefinitely in dungeons

    inb4 this is FFXIV so its not called "trash"

    Because back then the only dungeons worth doing we're level capped or required level cap to be effective, and the only gear worth getting was rewarded from speed runs. That's how it seemed to me.

    people only did that in darkhold in version 1.0 because it was so long and you only had one hour

    couln't do it in the others

    You can't put inb4 in the original post, that's cheating. :P

    I think speed running should be a decision for the group as a whole. I don't know how many times I've used to duty finder only to get a player who is way to impatient and runs ahead of the group because he's done the dungeon multiple times, then when he dies he blames everyone for not catching up to him in time.

    I do 20min amadapor keep runs. It's fantastic.

    Don't blame them to be honest. Killing trash feels like a slog after you do it as intended once or twice. It's cheesing stuff but killing all the trash gives very little reward if at all at 50 and is probably seen as a waste of time. The fun stuff are the bosses. Dungeons like Keep, once you do it once or twice clearing everything you don't want to kill the trash anymore.

    I watched someone do that yesterday. Tank grabbed all the mobs as he ran toward the boss and then died. As the mobs returned to their places the WHM gave him a raise and then it was time for boss fight.

    Just make every trash mob drop a tombstone and lower the boss tombstone rewards and it will sort itself out.

    Or drop gil rewards that make the trash worthwhile to clear and not the laughable 700 gil worth from a chest that is given to one random member in a group of 4 at level 50.

    More likely SE will ninja update giving dungeon mobs Heavy abilities like the ones in the strongholds have. Preferably giving trash mobs money or tomestones would be awesome. Would give groups unable to beat bosses yet some incentive to keep trying.
