There is already a quite decent topic on this subject.

Can you not do that please?
If he had necro'd one of the older posts some other jerk would have flogged him for it.
With no good options, let him do what he wants. Your advice is not helpful, he didn't want to learn. He wanted to express his already overly expressed opinions in his own voice.
He even acknowledges in his OP that complaints about targeting are dime a dozen.
P.S. Don't be a grumple dumple.

I was just pointing out there already was another topic, another place where people feel the same way as him. Smashington went to that topic an posted. And it wasn't "necroing" an old post - the other topic was made today!
Don't be a grumple dumple yourself.

You are both quite right. I could have gone either way. I've also posted this is the correct place (feedback, with the template and Dev tags) so often that I now get an "other threads on this topic" message from the Community Reps.
Don't care. I'll throw a fit and let my intenet-cred die. Why do I care about my reputation in a game that doesn't work?
The next-gen FF MMO that I have been waiting for my entire life is dying before my eyes and the Dev team doesn't have their priorities straight!
Targeting. #1. It's a basic.
If you don't have a good targeting system, freaking patch it in the first week! If your fix doesn't work, fix it again.
I don't give a crap about content in a game that doesn't have basic functionality. I can't suggest my friends come play FFXIV when the targeting is a frustrating mess. I can't enjoy new content. Should I stumble through it hoping targeting will improve someday? No, thanks.
Let every thread on the front page be about Targeting.

I kinda feel the same about the game. But not because of the same reasons. I really do think they are trying. I am, however, really hoping they do improve the targeting as you have mentioned.
