Preparing for Battle/Job system

Classes wouldn't be one trick ponies because you could have:-

Gladiator - Paladin
Gladiator - Swordsman/warrior (perhaps a skill which allows the use of Great Swords)

One is tank one is DD, the job is a specialisation, you choose the job just as you would your skill set, but I do think there needs to be some kind of restriction to make them unique.

I agree with BlaiseLallaise's idea also that a bonus/penalty could be just as effective as long as it a big enough one.
