    [dev1058] Job Petition: Soldier

    Now that we know we are getting jobs lets vote for jobs we are passionate about!

    Because all Disciples of War are technically "warriors", and the name "Fighter" is just too generic a thing to call a Job that's supposed to be a specialization, I'd like to see the Soldier job return as the non-mystical, non-rogueish, purely physical-skills based Job that takes the place of Warrior/Fighter in FFXIV. Considering the coming conflict in Eorzea, there would be a need for them.

    If you want Soldier, comment with +1 and like and lets not diverge from a simple polling effort.

    (if you want another job, lets use run with this template to make some noise for SE!)

    While Personally I'd like to see the name Soldier used for Great Sword users in the future as a Class Name. Using it as a job might be more fitting. Sadly I don't know what would fit well for Great Sword at that point.

    I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

    There is always Berserkers. Berserkers do love their big swords ...
