    Playing both SMN and SCH

How many of you are actually playing both SMN and SCH at the same time? Since there are separate relic weapons for each job, can you get both relics for both job?

I am not quite lv50 yet, but still undecided which job should be my main focus and sub. All my bonus points are currently allocate to INT. I always enjoy DPS but healing is fun as well.

BTW: The UI setting need to have an option to turn off other player's debuffs/dots on target. In a 4 men dungeon, this isn't a big issue, but I could imagine how terribly to track my dots in larger group (8 men & 24 men). I am seeing 100s dots/debuff on FATE boss which I can hardly find mine on my screen.

SMN will need to have the Attribute points in INT and SCH in MND. Unless you want to pay 10k seals to respec every time you switch between the two, I would pick one of the two to focus on.

Do the attribute points allocation make that much of a difference? According to some they dont, and SE claims all you need to do is gear differently.

A: They will be shared. Up until level 50 the equipment has stats that support both. Summoners will focus on INT, while scholars will focus on MND; however, this is because their roles are different as one is a DPS and the other is a healer. After level 50, you will have to select which you would like to specialize in by selecting the appropriate equipment.
If the attribute points are having a huge impact it again points to how odd it is to have points allocation in a modern mmo to begin with. Even more so in this game which is all about switching classes when you feel like.

Im guessing though that they did it because they dont really like the idea that you would get two jobs just by leveling arcanist. Still doesn't make it any less annoying for people who want to be effective at both.

I would just assume put split up the points to put 15 each in mind and int.

I play both. I split them half and half while leveling, but once you get to 50, it's better to just go full int after upgrading a few pieces of gear with mind for sch. You'll want all the DPS you can get for burns and such, but there's not many times where you'll need to heal harder, honestly. If you get to some content that absolutely requires max healing power, respec until your group has the dungeon/raid down enough that you can switch back.
