    I absolutely agree and have said this before. 5 or so years ago there was big talk about cross platforming FPS when they were really big. When they realized the significant advantages that the mouse and keyboard had over the console the idea was wiped. the advantages of M and keyboard are not as big on an mmo like this one but I don't want to suffer so console players can keep up. I honestly think the average console player can for the most part keep up with a pc player once they level cap and are used to the controls. No need for the ridiculous gcd.

    It works fine at 50 and you get access to spell speed and skill speed Which reduces the GCD

    Battle tempo is great

    idk. for me it is not a problem. ppl who say that you stare at your hotbar and can't focus on the game... after some time you automatically feel when the cooldown is off... at least i get used to it and i'm not staring at my hotbars... so imo 1.5s or 2.5 s does not really make any differance. imo the only problem is that all the skills have pretty much the same cooldows which makes it a bit too easy.

    If you say that you are looking at the hotbar all the time to look at GCD, you can just put a bar with a skill in the center of the screen, make everything else invisible... and you have your cooldown in the center... would be a lol, but would work

    Changing the Global Cooldown would require SE to completely rebalance the game. It's not going to happen, and you're just going to have to get over it. I'm sure some people don't like the lack of the Ninja job from FFXI or the lack of flying mounts, but at the end of the day, these are design choices and your complaints on the matter will change nothing. The team wants the game to "feel" a certain way, and a 2.5 second global cooldown fits into that.

    Like others have said, there are skill speed and spell speed attributes that drop your cooldown just like most other MMOs. Casting speed and GC is pretty terrible in WoW until you get some haste on your gear closer to endgame. This is nothing new and I honestly don't understand why you're posting about it when there are *so* many other issues that need to be tackled first.

    I've played WoW and I've played FF 14 and the global cooldowns are fine, infact as playing a Monk I'm not sure if there are other classes like this, but there are abilities off GCD that I can use INBETWEEN my abilities during normal globals. IE: Stuns, and big cooldowns. So I mean I don't know, I enjoy the global cooldowns, it's fun.

    So if the "GC is pretty terrible in WoW" than what does that have to say for FF14 with your logic? What's one worse than terrible? Unacceptable?

    I play with a Xbox controller on a PC. I don't have any grips with the GCD. As a healer it force me to take precaution, to heal a bit more in advance to take account of it. In fights it didn't badder me yet, as long as the enemies have the same delay, which I still see at level 22. It's not a major strategy elements, but it still valid. On a graphical standpoint, it gives time to the CPU/internet to process commands, and reduce on the screen the FX effects crap that would ensue...if everyone would do commands simultaneously. Visibility in fights is also important, the GDC is about that too, in my opinion.

    It doesn't matter. It's not your game. No one cares that the game is too slow for you. If they upped the global cooldown, then people would start bitching that the game's too fast. If you don't like it, get out now while you can still cut your losses because no dev team can make a game that everyone likes. I think the GCD is fine and I've played around with marauder(15), lancer(22), arcanist (18), and pugilist(15) since re-launch. So why should the devs sacrifice part of their vision as well as the content of other users to appease *you*?
