Mouseover information bug/error *please help*

Ok, so I have an annoying problem where all information displayed when you mouseover something does not show up anymore. This includes buff/debuff information, hunting log enemy locations, FATE information on the map, action button tags etc. etc. Is there a toggle switch i'm missing or something? This is the second time this problem has come up and the first time it just seemed to fix itself or I hit something to make it come back. I can't tell if this is a server side problem or a local problem but I need help. I see similar forum posts where people are having the same problem but nobody has a response for any of it.

Please help me out! This is extremely frustrating!

P.S. dont tell me to try and reboot or reinstall because yes.. i've already done both

You can either do it in your hud layout or in the character configuration(I think). I do it through the hud layout though. Make sure you right click Action Help/Item Help. Either one of those are for information. I don't remember which color means on or off. So try both and just save hud layout. That toggled it for me after mine turned off on me.

Yah you probably right clicked the display box one time when you were in your hud layout and deactivated the box. Just go in there, there are 2 separate boxes one for item tooltip and one for action tooltip. IIRC white lettering means its active and dark blue lettering means it's inactive.

Ugh.... went into character configuration and all 4 "help" boxes were checked so i clicked them off and then back on and now its finally working again. Thanks for the help its been a frustrating couple of days to try and figure that out.
