    Ping view

    Greeting and salutations

Hello I can see that you are able to see the send and receive info on the top right hand corner of the screen (default). Though I would like to know if you can give access to players to see what the ping is something like /ping to see the ms of the server
I know with another MMORPG not going to mention names of other games you can see what you latency is with in the game.

Also I would like to see if you have any updates to AFK players so if they have been inactive for say the last 30-45 minutes they get kicked from the game?

    Anyways

Love the game from FF to FFXIV:ARR

    Regards

You can check here for Ping http://www.arrstatus.com/ and they did mention something about doing a AFK kicker after the sever issue.

Ping on the arr status web is local to the webserver not to the client so not much use anyway (maybe only to indicate some generic issue with a particular server). In regards of AFK - they said they'll look into it after completing the current planned maintenances, not that they'll implement it (for sure). Personally - I think it's waste of the resources to implement such feature as people who intentionally AFK will know how to circumvence the system anyway unless it will be some horrid and annoying solution where you'd need to click couple of confirmation dialog boxes "randomly" placed every few hours to not being automatically logged out which I hope they'll not chose to implement (for obvious reasons).

You can see latency with Windows Resource Monitor. (Task Manager-> Performance -> Open Resource Manager).

For me it shows latency of ~200ms from Sweden to EU server (Cerberus).

But would be nice to have /ping command straight in game for quick access.

Or you could open the command window ( cmd.exe ) and type 'ping 184.107.107.176'

That's IP of the data center servers. However this is not possible for PS3 players unless you test it separately from another device where you can run ping. It's actually quite easy to program small UI frontedn to ping all the game servers in the same way the arr status web page does.
