The idea of Evil is birthed by stupidity and ignorance and flourishes in the mind and heart of humanity.
Not everyone has quick enough Internet for that kind of download speed, for example I have at tops 4mb/s download speed where I live in the UK.
So that will take me 40 mins probs,
There should still be a resume file transfer option, it's a standard these days, even free to play does it in my experience

For those who have played 1.0 before, no matter how fast/slow our connections, we still always able to resume our download and never have to restart from beginning. This is due to peer-to-peer based connection for patch download.
Now I can't even fathom why did ARR patch download are even worse than what 1.0 did. For those who were using stable connection, hurrah! But those who didn't, or in my case, who also plays outside home which have to rely on mobile connection, this problem are quite annoying. If by the time this new patch released While I'm home which using a way more non-mobile stable connection, I would be dancing right now.
And to make it worse, even old-dated FFXI patch download process which has this quite a bit annoying re-checking game data (if we have to restart client due to disconnecting for one) are even better than ARR patch client.
So those of you who tell us to stop complaining better get your fact straight before trying to offend others who still struggles with their patch download. Some of us do have bumpy roads ahead. Better offer help or comforting pleasantries other than mocking those who has these misfortunes.
To sum it up: Don't be a dick! Either help or shut up!![]()
