HQ items for leve turn-ins are great. One thing to keep in mind is that for company seals you can buy a manual that increases your crafting XP for 3 hours/20k XP, whichever comes first. If you know you're going to be crafting a bunch of stuff, those are great to have.

Also, I think it's somewhere in the 30s that the recipe for apple juice opens up, which is a recipe that doesn't need half a dozen materials, unlike most of the others.

If I were to do it all over again, I would have leveled up BTN and MIN first then Culinarian. Reason being that high level mats are super expensive at the moment. I'm sure the prices are going to come down now since there are more high level BTN and MIN popping up. But during the first week or so of play I was always broke trying to level my CUL. MIN is important to level to 20 partly because of the perk of picking up extra fire shards. CUL uses fire and water shards like crazy and I found myself buying some on the market when I ran out and didn't have a MIN class setup. Best way to level CUL once you reach 25 is to use leves that offer 3x turn-in. Its best to turn in HQ items because you get a huge bump in exp and gold. I got the all the leves from Limsa.
