Unable to log in with PC version

I have been able to log into the game on my PC, but as soon as I click "start," I land on a never-ending load screen. I do not get to the opening cinematic or the character select screen. Yet, I am able to play without issue on the PS3. Is this due to congestion (I haven't found anything similar)? I have updated drivers, verified my hardware, checked my firewall settings, and even configured a selective start up to no avail.

To clarify, I know of the maintenance that is currently underway, this issue has been going on since I installed and patched the PC version several days ago.

before i could play i had to open the ports for it on my router, turn on QoS and set it as highest for the game, disabled and made exceptions to programs that block in coming traffic, such as firewalls or/and Peerblock. Since the ps3 version runs almost something of a emulation of the pc version just at lower quality, it connects to the exact same severs and data centers as the pc version, it doesn't go through the psn severs. So it would be something on your computer that is blocking the service.

So,, aside from following all the suggestions on the list square enix gave for Windows crashes, I disabled my firewall on the xfinity router and within windows... I still get hung up at the load screen. Any other suggestions out there?

I still have yet to get any valid response on the ticket I created 2 days ago (other than the fluff acknowledgement). I know this issue is a combination of Windows 7, my computer, the game, and the settings.. The PS3 version works just fine, so the router isn't an issue, though I did try removing it's firewall and enabling port forwarding. Since SE is obviously incapable, are there any gurus out there that have experienced similar issues and can walk me through a work around?
