I'm pretty sure itll be downloadable on the psn network for free if you already used the code you had in the box. If you have to re-buy this game one more time itll be a very sad day for SE...

Yes, I shan't deny the bitterness. This question came up alot on the Beta forums, though not so much a question as outright demand claiming such nonsense as console limitations and lack of foresight. We have the PS3 version because it promised us back before they'd even released 1.0. I love that they kept their promise and as I said, no regrets having switched to the console.
Pretty sure I read somewhere that Sony said most, if not all, PSN purchases made right now will be unavailable for download on the PS4. This is because of the architectural difference between the systems at play here: PSP, PS Vita, PS3 and PS4.
Sure, the PS4 may be able to emulate the others, but that's apparently not on their scope right now. I think their cloud service app serves to remedy that in regards to the PS3 (disc verification). But, hardware-wise, it wouldn't work if Sony isn't going to implement emulation. The PS3 version of XIV:ARR was heavily optimized for its platform; trying to play it on another platform would create a cesspool of errors.
Didn't Yoshi mention last month that PS3 users would get the PS4 "Client" for free?
Yoshi did say they were working on a plan for free ps4 upgrade for ps3 purchasers. I just wish I didn't have to continue using a ps3 for 4 months after I get my ps4.
Also, if ps3 is having so much trouble with fates and dungeons now, what happens if raids are unplayable on the ps3? Will we be forced to the sidelines, along with PC users have ventrillo and raid call etc, how is raiding going to work with no cross platform communications? Ps4 is supposed to get services like ventrillo but until then were pretty nerfed in the communication department.
