[Suggestion] To Alleviate the Login Problems

Hello. It's become quite clear that a huge problem with the login troubles has been inconsiderate people staying logged in for days at a time taking up slots for others in different time zones to log in.

There is a rather simple step you (Square Enix) can take to help alleviate this issue: Restart the servers every 8-12 hours. That's all it will take. It will kick all of the inconsiderate AFKers off the server and allow others to log in. It doesn't even take any kind of coding or programming an AFK timer. Just a simple restart.

I think the AFK timer works best. That way we don't have to keep on loggin' out because of constant server restarts.

How is 8-12 hours between restarts "constant"? Hell, that's much longer than 95% of player's sessions on the weekdays.

The AFK timer will take time to implement. This is something they can do now to alleviate a huge amount of the issues.

They're in maintenance right now to add more capacity, which in turn should fix the login issues.

Restarting for any reason than maintenance is a terrible idea and if a server is running properly there should be no need to do so. And who wants to be 70 minutes into a dungeon only to get kicked out because of a restart that isn't needed?

It's only terrible if you're one of the AFKers that doesn't want to be kicked. There is no negative to restarting the servers every 8-12 hours, since it takes 5-10 minutes tops to restart and it will barely affect anyone if they choose the right times to do it (the most off-peak hours for the related time zone).
