As a Monk, something's been weighing heavily on me that I need to confess...

...I've replaced True Strike entirely with Twin Snakes.

Someone rip me a new one please.

For those who are curious, my rotation is:

Goal 1: Get to max GL stacks ASAP, as GL is the biggest lever in our DPS

Bootshine -> Twin Snakes -> Snap Punch
Bootshine -> Twin Snakes -> Demolish

Goal 2: Now that we have GL + Twin Snakes, put dots on cuz now dots are worth putting on

    Fracture -> Touch of Death

Goal 3: Rotate like the world goes round

Bootshine -> Twin Snakes -> Snap Punch -> Impulsive Drive -> Impulsive Drive
Bootshine -> Twin Snakes -> Demolish -> Fracture -> Impulsive Drive
Bootshine -> Twin Snakes -> Snap Punch -> Impulsive Drive -> Touch of Death
Bootshine -> Twin Snakes -> Demolish -> Fracture -> Impulsive Drive

    Current Problems
Impulsive drive is 20-40% more TP cost than most of Monk's skills, so this rotation this is not TP sustainable in boss fights. I don't know what to replace it with.

If you are not using Impulsive Drive and not having positions issues not using True Strike is just bad and sloppy imo. Its a minor damage increase but if you do the rotation right you won't lose the Twin Snake buff ever. Now this of course is the perfect situation where there isn't movement.

My problem with alternating True Trike and Twin Snakes is that, if you ever want to do anything else within a GL duration, like refresh Fracture (which should happen right after you apply Demolish, since they're both 18s DOTs) or Touch of Death or something else , you're likely going to drop Twin Snake's +10% buff right before you reapply it with Twin Snakes, which means that Twin Snakes won't get the +10% buff.

    140 * 10% = 14 > True Strike's 10 potency advantage over Twin Snakes.

Also, given the practicalities of a fight and running around, I found Twin Snakes buff dropping pretty often before it's reapplied, which means that it was pretty brittle for me.

When buffs drop off on the last second they still exist for 0.5 seconds, Don't believe me? Wait till Greased lightning drops off then use a Coreul stance move immediately, You'll either heighten the stack or maintain GLIII. Twin Snakes is no different , when it drops off that last second the buff is still around on the reapply.

When you get to higher levels and get more skillspeed, TS will not drop off as regularly.
