This story isn't really that bad, it's just the worst I've had so far. Got into Cutter's Cry with a PLD, a NIN, and a BLM. For the first couple of pulls, the NIN pulled hate pretty early. One of those pulls, he pulled for the tank, so I immediately chalked it up to irresponsible DPS, got into prima donna mode, and let him get down to two digit HP before healing him.
Then, on the very next pull, I got threat. And the next, and the next. Which is when I realized the tank (who had Shield Oath up, at least) was only using Flash once per pull. Had to start holding back a lot; using Stoneskin almost primarily, letting him dip pretty low, avoiding all DPS except a single Aero on his primary target. That only worked about half the time, though, because the other half, he'd keep one enemy in front of him and two behind him. :| So every other trash pack, I was pretty much guaranteed to get smacked at least a couple of times.
The PLD was also new to the dungeon. The first couple bosses were fine, as they're pretty simple. Chimera, though... Told him to run in on purple, out on blue, and avoid the glowy balls and the usual AOE markers. His interpretation of that advice was to spin and drag the boss all over the place like some kind of spastic ballroom dance. Luckily the melee was a NIN. For the first half of the fight, he managed to get the eye prompts right, but then he fell hard and started eating pretty much every one. With the way he was spazzing around the room, the DPS ended up eating a few, too. Luckily, the BLM was on the ball and not afraid of Physick (<3), so we still ended up with a win. But it was, uh... a good lesson.
