    Egis and Beastmen

I'm writing a fanfic on FFXIV and I plan to have one of the villains be a Summoner who manipulates Beastmen to follow his commands. I figure he would be capable of aiding in the summoning of true Primals, or even do it himself with the proper rituals.

Anyroad, I'm curious what you all think would be the reaction most Beastmen would have upon seeing a Primal-Egi? Would they show it respect as a fragment of their gods? Or would they see it as blasphemous for a mortal to so enslave it? I haven't found any lore on the matter so I suppose it's up to my own discretion as author, but I'm curious for others' opinions.

It'd most definitely be blasphemous. If you want a villain who controlled and manipulated the Beastmen then look no further than the Paragons. The Paragons are the ones who taught the Beastmen how to summon the Primals and thus set about the story we know, of course it came as a huge shock to me to learn the Paragons were actually the evil Ascians...but that's mostly because we had 0 knowledge about the Paragons cept for teaching the Beastmen, so it didn't come off as too evil in 1.0 despite the dangers of the Primals for people and the aetherflow.

Do you have links to this Lore?

To clarify; when I say "manipulate" what I really mean is "convince". The villain is a Duskwight Summoner who lives in caves; he comes across Kobolds and forges an alliance with them to the goal of summoning Titan. There are other villains involved with larger scale motives to which summoning Titan would prove beneficial, and that's where the "manipulating" comes into play.

Also, I thought Louisoix was a Paragon? He seems like a 100% good guy, so I must have something mixed up...

    Archon and Paragon.
The Sharlayan NPCs, of which Louisoix was one of, were the Archons.
There were rumons, back when the Archons started to show up in 1.0, that they were the so-called Paragons that taught the beast tribes how to summon.

Won't say much more if you haven't reached far enough in the story to notice, though.
