There is anther thing I don't understand.
Items from dungeons/tombs don't have materia slots.

My logic would be you can farm level 45-50 gear and make materia out of it (or combine lower ones).
Now you sell this on the market since every one needs to put materia in their gear.

But at this moment I have no idea what to do with Materia at all aside from one quest.
