This argument has a flaw, it counts only for the beginning of new servers, after 2-3Weeks the problem is gone.

U can get your gear repaired by a high level crafter. U only need Darkmatterl V, which u get from your Legion and can by it with Legion Coins (u get them from Fates, turning in Green Gear or from the Legion Hunting Log)
For each item repaired u pay the craftsman 50Gil - so u end up at 500Gil for a full repair. So no more 4000-6000k repairs at that point.
Optionally u can raise your crafting skills and repair your own gear.

Each Dark Matter costs ~1000 seals, so you'll need to run 4 leves or so to buy an item to repair one piece of gear. Rinse/repeat for 52 leves total to be able to repair your gear once.

I don't think SE had it in mind to create the ultimate dynamic event grinder MMO ever created, right?
