Why don't you try doing them yourself, a couple of mats you can easily farm, 6~ untill the end product and easy 2k+ gil netgain (lvl 30~ DoH). Someone with a scripted bot can make quite a bit of gil from the air by simple automation of a production chain.

I hope enjoyed your little personal jab at me because it doesn't change the fact you are 100% wrong about this. We aren't talking about the game at level 30, people are still leveling and there are plenty of quests then. We are talking about the game at level 50 when questing is done and all that is left currently are a few leves, fates, dungeons, and raids. Sure you can gather/fate with crap gear for minimal gain but that isn't playing the game, that is simply living in survival mode. This is game that is supposed to be fun where we can each enjoy what we would like. Why is this so hard for you to understand?

The way it is now is good. You want restricted money printing. In this case magically conjured GIL is money printing.

Some things still will be over priced, but the majority of stuff, especially stuff people actually want to sell, will just be at a lower and more obtainable price for most.

You start adding in easy GIL systems into the game and prices will skyrocket. So instead of having to farm GIL for a week to get something rare on the market youll have to farm months or use a GIL trader.

There are enough ways to make GIL in the game as it is, you can play the market and funnel some of that to you.

This is really a huge problem.
Didn't looked like it before hitting 50... but now, I really have no idea how to make money, and money sinks are taking their tolls.
In time I'll be broke, and I think it will be time to look for another MMO.

I suspect most players having gil problems are the same ones who port EVERYWHERE all the time. Porting is "luxury" travel. You can take favored ports and spend less than 5 minutes riding a chocobo to get places but people are lazy and spam-port themselves all over the place.

Meanwhile, those of us that have been careful with our income are supposed to be not rewarded because some of you can't budget your money? I'm not shocked by the laziness of these types. I fully expect you want unlimited spending and probably a free house too because you didn't plan to operate in a great economy. You want it easy like other games.

I read the whole thread. I get it, I also believe many people squander money.

There's also a select group here (not all of you) that want: Run dungeon ---> sell stuff ---> repair gear ---> bank extra gil ---> wash, rinse, repeat. I do not want to see this. Other games (like EvE) have proved a game economy can be complex, interesting, player-driven, and robust.
