Farmers/botters monopolising crafting materials

Seen zones outnumbered by farmers taking claim of mobs that drop crafting materials that aren't buyable by vendors, sometimes several at once. Drops seem to only go to the one who tags the mob first, not the one who does the most damage or killing blow. I've felt the frustration of running close to a mob to engage and half a second before I hit it someone shoots and tags it first. Some material drops are only from a small number of mobs in a small area and these can get swamped by campers. It's bringing back miserable memories of HNM camping days in FFXI and resorting to paying ludicrous amounts of gil on the market for something that could've easily been farmed in a matter of minutes. When will we be seeing a change in the system to avert farmers from camping and multi-claiming?

btw my post isn't to rant at legit farmers as we all need crafting materials ourselves, it's about the ones that are done via bots.

How do you know its a gold farmer or a bot?

I can say I successfully identified one yesterday, a ranger who was stood in the same spot all day never moved, their head would turn to target a nearby aldgoat a few seconds after it spawned and always shot it with the same abilities in the same order. This particular one was very slow though and I was constantly outclaiming it. The bot never moved from the spot, it would engage the aldgoat seconds after I engaged so I got all the loot. It was doing this for hours.

How exactly do you do this? I haven't seen a single way in game to report anything except abuse, and was told it was on one of Square Enix's many unorganized websites, which is quite cumbersome when you're trying to report a group of 10 bots.
