    My Customer Service(Amusing)

    Pre-ordered PS3 CE from gamestop. Redeem my code..(Invalid)

    3 hours on hold with SE, new code issued

    Redeem codes on PS3 account, link my square account to the ps3 account I redeemed codes on and log in for first time (your SE account is already linked to another psnID)

    Call Square back, they autolinked it on phase 3. so I asked is my CE a paperweight?" to which the CS rep agreed literally, but said maybe it would be fixed in the future.
    Call Square again, this time I demand my preorder items, I'll buy the game again for the account that they linked I just want my preorder items..not really fair to me, but tired of the hassle..

    CS rep says he can't give me a code so I ask for the supervisor. 5 mins later the rep comes back with a new code.(that's what I thought)

    Get off phone and redeem code...INVALID..call psn to verify code...it's expired on 8/29/13...I got the code today on 9/3/2013

    To sum it up,

    First rep (Thomas) gave me new code no problem (thanks for that)

    2nd Rep (Ethan) called my game a paperweight and was not helpful at all

    3rd rep (Thomas again) gave me a bum code to get me off the phone per his supervisor

    On the third call where I asked for a supervisor, he wouldn't even get on the phone with me and Thomas stated "I'm sorry that I couldn't help you more, but I have went past my allowed time to help you." How does customer service have a time limit?

    To be honest I sent in a ticket starting at phase 4 about how it glitched out and didn't even let me change my character and I lost my character recreation. So I emailed SE, which took them a total of 5 days to reply just to say "well thank you for bringing this to our attention, we might not be able to fix your problem have a nice day." and then emailed me an email to fill out a survey of how I think they handled the problem. Then when I tried to call them the phone wouldn't even pick up. Least you got to a Rep.

    I think the 'allowed time' might have been instituted because of the extremely high call volumes... I can only imagine how busy their call center(s) were/are with the log in issues (once you were in it was good game play) and code issues.

    I've only encountered a 'time allotment' once when dealing with phone representatives. In that case, I think it had to do with their 'average call lengths' and they do that to keep their call lengths down (I know where I work we can track call lengths). In my case it was probably used as a part of a bonus incentive, but I can't say for sure.

    I suspect in this case it was just to try and handle the overload in calls/emails they were getting. In this case I can understand the need to try and keep things short. It sucks, because you usually don't get an explanation. But c'est la vie!

    Try being double charged for 2 copies of the game (bought one for myself and my friend). On top of that fact both of them were CE and both codes i got gave us regular -.- (this i got no help with but i could live with it at least). Not everyone has unlimited money to just throw at you Squeenix. Now i don't have enough money to pay my rent for 2 weeks (thankfully i explained it to my landlord and he is kind and understanding - had this not been the case i...just don't know.)

    2 days and still no reply back on this issue. Way to go Square -.-

    I'm still waiting for my ticket to be responded to in the timeframe they gave me. Since I'm not sure where the center is that is handling the tickets, I'm giving them until the end of the day tomorrow (the 2 business days stated in the email) before I start hounding them. Though, my email has never been checked so often...
