While this seems funny at first was all 7 people harassing you? Or did you just wrong 2-3 people in the party who were just trying to get gear? Doesn't this make you just as bad as them? This is why there is a report button. I sadly would have reported you for intentional griefing and them for harassing.

Not really. If someone is making nasty in my group, no matter what game I am playing, I tell them to stop being childish and play properly. I don't stand for bad behaviour, swearing and name calling. I don't care if it is to me or to someone else in the group they're being rude. The silent ones who watches as someone is getting "bullied" are just as much to blame. Want a good community? Then do your part, and your part is to stand up to the "bullies".

Long before even touching a FF online game I've heard of players like these, back when my friend played FFXI. They're truly horrible people and can only blame themselves for the way XI turned out in the end. I woulda done the same thing OP, screw people like that. Let them go hugbox with their circle of friends.

This really sucks. I guess I've been really lucky as I've had really pleasant groups nearly everytime - apart from in the Final Story raid where I too got raged at for watching the cutscenes.

I even had a Chimera group for the Relic Reborn quest last night, compromised solely of people on the server who replied to spamming in shout, where we spent about 2 hours wiping before killing it. No-one raged at anyone once even when the tank dc'ed during a couple of tries people were still friendly and shrugged it off.

But alas it is the internet and people do sometimes use the cover of anonymity as a reason to be rude. Hopefully it gets better as more and more people get to 50 and these impatient ones have to start dealing with people who are still learning.

Similar experience:

I was tanking in the Stone Vigil last night. My party was not attacking the same mob as me lol. they would just start attacking whatever mob they felt even after i told them not to. So the whm decides to start attacking the two dragons in a Drake and two dragon group. He pulls hate and dies. Since they were all friends, everyone stops attacking but me and looks at the dead whm..... They wipe and the whm has the audacity to say "please pull one at a time because the tank cant hold hate". To their surprise, my response was, "please do not attack mobs that no one else is, or attack period". He gets butt hurt and since he's butt hurt, his friends get butt hurt. So yea, I figure since I'm tank, I can get into another party quick and leave.

Someone actually said "You killed the whm" after the whm was attacking lol.

I thought this was a troll attempt at first but the butt hurt gauge showed otherwise.

On a side note, ARR DF has been pretty pleasent for me generally. Some bad tanks, and some bad DPS, but generally everyone is nice.
