These "entitled" and "deluded" people are the only ones keeping SE from going under. Sure the EULA says SE can do whatever they want, and look where that got em. Moral of the story - the EULA doesn't mean crap when people stop buying your product. The one thing that bothers me is the entitled attitude most people have on these forums. Sure, you may have paid for the game and think you have the right to play whenever you feel like it, but that's simply not the case. You merely paid for the opportunity to play this game. We might delude ourselves into thinking we own it but according to those little agreements we have to accept we don't own anything. They have the right to cut off our access for no good reason if they wanted to.

But people have already bought the game and despite their threats to refund, you know when the game is working properly they'll be playing and it will be as if it never happened. And after all that, we still answer to the ToS and EULA. Sad but true.
I know a lot of people that stopped considering buying this game when they heard about all the problems going on - from when they stopped selling the game to when they disabled character creation, not to mention the myriad of login problems. SE lost a lot of money on that, and there are 3 new big title MMOs coming out. Some people may "endure" playing this game right now, but it will not be many, and many yet will leave for one of the new upcoming MMOs when the time comes. If SE even tried to bring up the EULA in regards to delivered game quality, then that would piss off even more people and they would be finished, if they aren't already.

The game blew up through word of mouth. As soon as the issues are fixed (issues that happen with any big MMO launch) people will come back because in the end, this is actually a pretty good game. From Legacy my highest character was 18. I paid for a lot of time but didn't use it because 1.0 was bad. Now, even with all these issues I've reached Lv. 45 on my MRD and I've had a blast with this game. I haven't even touched WoW once since it was released, even when I was unable to log in because I just wanted to play this game. I'm confident that after these issues are fixed things will be fine.I know a lot of people that stopped considering buying this game when they heard about all the problems going on - from when they stopped selling the game to when they disabled character creation, not to mention the myriad of login problems. This so much this - many people got cheated into buying this piece of shit (me included) cause we very overhyped greedy and didn't thought calmly about purchasing this - in my case its mainly cause i still remeber FF from its prime time during FF X , but by now i realised that it was 20 euro thrown into mug , well happens ill be back here when they sub numbers gonna drop down like flies in few months and they gonn switch to f2p like all other payment mmorpg had to do with expetion of wow -_-I know a lot of people that stopped considering buying this game when they heard about all the problems going on - from when they stopped selling the game to when they disabled character creation, not to mention the myriad of login problems. :/ No offense, but that is one of the lamest points I see people try to make. ToS and EULA "well guys. says right here in the fine print of section a paragraph 34 sentence 3 that they don't have to let you play if they don't wanna. be thankful cause you have paid for an opportunity to play this. you should be kissing their feet." Yeah every company has those rules, but we're not talking about banning anyone or people saying they own the game. No one is arguing whether or not they can or can't do that. People are getting an error that they don't know why. You said it yourself. People have paid for the opportunity to play the game. I think some of them, in fact quite a few, are still waiting on that opportunity.

But it also states that those errors are to be expected and we're subject to any downtime that results.:/ No offense, but that is one of the lamest points I see people try to make. And that gives a right for people to never wonder why they are getting an error or how to correct the issue? It doesn't give another person the ability to complain that a product that they purchased from a company isn't working as it is intended too? A EULA and a TOS isn't something that is this shield that makes them go "haha you can't touch me you can't touch me. i can do this i can do this and you cant do nothing." They use it when they have to. They don't use it to abuse their own power and that is what you are arguing.

People can wonder why, of course. But short of threatening to refund or getting a refund there isn't much they can do. The law is on SE's side, that's all I'm saying. And that gives a right for people to never wonder why they are getting an error or how to correct the issue?
