Because unlike some of you xenophobic people, we like having interaction with different cultures.

I would love to see European Servers for the simple fact of time difference, most of my LS are from NA and doing leves is a pain for me to say the least.
I love Japanese culture and all but I don't have any urge to play with them and I'm sure they don't me.
SE obviously think there is something special about it though even though the majority of JP players hate us lol, "JP onry"
Only some JPs are jp onry, in XI I partied a lot with JPs, after a while they knew Americans were breaking XP. They are known for being somewhat xenophobic, but generalizing people is crazy.
I don't really care about opinions or comparisons on actual gameplay between WoW and FF11. This was an argument for or against regional servers. By and large, WoW the most successful MMO does have regional servers. I'm sure if the majority wanted to be all clumped on one server they would have.
I doubt the majority of the population speaks 3+ languages. Most stick to their own communities regardless. I don't really have a preference doing basic exp groups, but anything that took more communication such as missions I always went with people I could speak with instantly and not use the translator. If they follow the western style of dungeon instancing with bosses and the like, you're going to see this again.
Yes I had some nice experiences with JP players in 11, but I still don't think it would have made much of a difference in the grand scheme of things, the only time I party with JP players in this game is behest and nobody really talks in behest anyway.
BTW there is a thread over on the Japanese forum about this very same subject and the majority of them want regional servers, because they believe westerners to be rude and greedy. (oddly I think the same thing, so they aren't wrong)

Even if you have had a few selective instances of playing with JP or french or spanish or whatever, you might have had better experiences, and possibly more frequent experiences, if you had played on a server with people you could actually converse with.
Very serious. WoW is based on some of the most obsolete concept of the MMO field.
And pray tell, how would it defeat the point?
That's an absolutely arbitrary statement, and false considering that most non english speakers actually DO make an effort to speak english.

I forgot I have to spell everything out for you sometimes.
Eorzea isn't Spain, or France, it isn't New Zealand or Australia, it's just a game. And as such, you can't experience different cultures through it. And even if you can, you can only experience them in a really diluted way.
