Sorry,but i can easily call bull on this. You don't experience different cultures only through places. You mostly experience them through interacting with *people*, which is exactly what you do in MMORPGs.

That's culture? Pretty much interacted with people from all over and not absorbed this culture you speak of. Either way, I doubt the majority care about experiencing someone elses culture through a video game. They'd rather play.

Half the time I don't even know what countries people are from because all they do is talk about the same boring crap anyway. Everyone's the same, more or less. As far as it concerns an MMO, everyone is basically the same.

I'd rather interact with people with interesting personalities than with people whose personalities I can't understand due to language barriers.

Your personal experience don't a statistic make. I'd dare say that if your experiences are so dull, it's because you didn't try to get to know people yourself.

Sorry but pretty sure the majority of the groups were started with that simple statement simply because you weren't sure if they spoke your language or not. But apparently since you can experience the Eiffel Tower or fine sushi cuisine through that kind of interaction, I guess I'll just say I'm envious of you.

If there are twice as many people on my server who can speak my language, that increases the change of meeting a kindred soul, right? If I can't talk to half the people on my server, that decreases my chance of meeting fun people, right?
