The pressure to skip cut-scenes!

SWTOR was ridiculous, every single time I ran an instance, at LEAST one ADHD player would be like

"OMGLOLSKIPIT"
"DUDEBROSKIP!"
"SKIP IT"
"PRESS SPACEBAR"
"SKIP"
"SKIP"
"SKIP"

Thankfully I haven't run into that issue yet in FFXIV, but I'm sorry to hear that the same idiotic issue made it over here. Personally I'm gonna tell anyone I see doing that (even if it's one that I've already done and have skipped the cutscene/waiting) to shut up. I too have enjoyed the story a great deal so far and I don't care if not skipping the cutscenes means I have to queue for the dungeon a second time because someone else is impatient.

Honestly, PUGs by their very nature are not conducive to having everything go exactly the way YOU want it to, unless the way you want it to go is supported by the game's design (in this case being able to watch the cutscene if you want and not being forced by the game to skip). That's what FC's and LS's are for.

If thousands of people can afk and prevent others from playing for HOURS at a time and say that they have the right to do so because they're paying for the game, then I shall use their reasoning against them.

I'm paying for this game, that includes watching the cut scenes when they happen, and when I want to watch them. At least by doing so, I'm only using the product as intended.

If anyone tells me to skip the cutscenes when I haven't seen them before I will simply tell them no. If they don't want to wait, they can pull without a healer because I am a White Mage so if they die not my problem.

Well..i usually warn my parto of friends ahead of time that I wish to see the CS since I am a big fan of the story!

I just use my door tactic when I do something others may not like. "I am here for the first time and I will watch the cutscenes, you cannot stop me. If this bothers you, the door is behind us."

Some of them happen in the middle of battle. You just going to sit there and get your ass beat?

It would be better for both sides if the dungeon timer didn't continue to count down while people are watching cutscenes, it should stop until everyone is done with the cutscene.

When I'm running in a PUG I always skip cutscenes since I don't want anyone to wait on me, so you can imagine what I do when I see teammates sitting there watching.

I sit there patiently and wait, maybe get a glass of water.

Doesn't wait 1 week to start whining about new players watching cutscenes. Calls them all rag tag casuals. I'd rather group with a rag tag casual than a tokentard.

Yeah in swtor you get more pressure then in this game, but i get where you come from. Just let them cry about it and enjoy your game.
