I want my money back

I purchased this game nearly 2 years ago. Of that time, a good chunk was spent unable to play for various reasons, not the least of which was the 2.0 remake. I participated in the Alpha, and Beta, of 1.0, and partially of 2.0. I spent money on a game that was crap. Uninteresting, lack of material, too easy (level 50 in a few weeks). It came out of beta that way.

The beta for 1.0 was entirely too short. Especially given the numerous problems with logins, bugs, lack of content. I was then asked to pay for this game, and further asked to pay a fee. I picked up a copy of this game for $70. I purchased the collectors edition, largely for the security token, a item I was very used to with my 6 years of FFXI. I payed a few months, but was entirely uninterested in the game. It was boring, it was bad, it was a waste of time.

I waited a while, not playing during that time. I lost my debit card, got a new debit card, but never logged in to the game to update it (nearly completely forgetting about it). I read the patch notes occasionally as it came out, and I noticed them attempting to fix some of the major issues I had with the game. I remembered my new card, updated my info and played again. It was still uninteresting, still too easy, and still bad. I stopped again.

Now the game is re-released. You begged for my time to fix the problems.

Now you tell me I am not Legacy status. Now you tell me I need to buy another game for the PS3 for the ability to play it on the PS3, despite having the software client from early access already, and despite already having a PC account. You prevent me from doing so because of your failure as a company to adequately supply server power, a problem you could have tested and dealt with if you had simply extended the beta periods for longer than 3 god damn days.

But worst of all, I cannot play during my month of free play. I cannot log in to play the game I participated in during testing, and payed for nearly 2 YEARS AGO.

You have severely mishandled this fiasco. You have been nothing but a waste of my time. I want my fuc|<ing money back SE.

Seriously? You come in here to cry and bitch about wanting money back 3 hours before a major maintenance that's been announced to fix most if not all login/character creation issues?
Or is it that you haven't read anything at all and just don't know?

And unless you actually paid subscription during a certain time in 1.x, you indeed do not have or deserve legacy status.

You have a point original poster and I am not unsympathetic. I think most people viewed the free time in 1.0 and beta time in 2.0 as free game time, we were providing somewhat of a service. I too, at times, think that the company could show (more than in a verbal way) appreciation for customer patience and loyalty regardless of the amount of cash payments made.

They did by letting you get ARR for free including being able to play until the 9th (now 16th) without having to add a subscription.
And by letting you keep any characters and most items you had in 1.x.
That's aside from how they let you play for free during 14 months aside from the 30 day trial that was included originally.
