Skipped over in the Queue

ok this is what happens 3 things you need to know.

There is an artificial cap they put in place on the servers which is lower then the actual cap of the server.
They use the Queue system to control the flow of people logging in to the server.
They turn on and off the queue system as needed to control this flow.

So what happens you try and log in... server is at artificial cap. You get 1017. All of a sudden a bunch of people log out and the server is blow the threshold of the artificial cap. So they turn on the queue system. So now 100 people in queue. Say the first 50 of the bring the server back up to that artificial cap. the other 50 then get booted out of the queue and get 1017 when the system shuts off the queue.

Kind of pointless having a queue if it's still going to be a free-for-all at the end of it.

TL;DR the queue system is broken and doesn't actually work like a queue at all.

Tried it on PC and on PS3. The result is always the same, be that with 16 people, 50 people, or indeed 250 odd people.

Well every other time I have seen that I have hit ok tried to log in again and then the number has gone down, I''m on PS3 I don't think it auto refreshes.

Edit: To clarify I'm not sure how the PC logging in works but on the PS3 when you get he 1017 it takes you back to the start/opening movie screen. If you get the queue message it takes you to the character select screen. When I get the queue message I just hit ok and select my char again to try to log in again i don't ever back out of the character select screen.

Sounds just like the PC version, and when you get that box that says the queue, I'm pretty sure the button for it also says 'ok'. I know it's a little confusing, but clicking that is akin to leaving the queue. You aren't supposed to try to login again after you get to that message, just let it sit on that and watch it, it should eventually update (decreasing the queue line) until it logs you in.

it works just fine THEY ARE MANUALLY CONTROLLING IT TURNING IT ON AND OFF GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!

When you see the queue message do not close it. I am on PC, I have never seen the number update on the queue, but when I wait with that queue open I have always ended up getting in (After the 30+ min of trying to get in past the 1017 of course). I know I've heard people have other issues queue leading to a 1017, but it's best to wait for the queue if you see it, just for the chance you might get in. Closing it to try get get in the queue again will never end well. You just push yourself back until 1017.

Yea I dont have the PS3 version..but it sounds like its displayed like the PC.

When you see the message saying "You are number 70 in queue" or something of that sort, dont touch ANYTHING.

It wont auto refresh. It wont auto update.

It will say 70 until 69 people log in and you see the loading screen..which you may be greeted with a lobby error or 1017 after anyway but i digress.

Basically when you see that message DO NOTHING. Its worded horribly..probably translated by Google or something, but dont hit Okay, or Close or anything. Just put the controller down and wait. I forget if it says "Okay" or "Close" on the box, but it should say "Leave Queue".

Theres no "try again to log in" or anything. Just wait lol.
