AF Weapon/Relic ans Such...

Hi all,

How do you obtain the AF weapon? Is there a quest for it?

What about primal weapons? How you get them?

You can start obtaining your Relic Weapon once you've Defeated the Main Story, and I think you need to complete your Job Story also. THere's a man in Horizon who'll start the quest for you.

You'll then be taken to Mor Dhona, then to North Shroud, to find the Master Smith. Once there, you'll then be set trials on how to obtain your Relic Weapon. This part of the quest varies depending on your class.

This usually involves beating a few beastmen, finding a torn relic, then having to get a level 50 crafted weapon.

Once there, you'll then get the Unfinished Gae Bolg.

You'll then be set to kill the Hard Mode Primals.

Then you have to defeat a final boss, "Hydra".

Search the english forums for "A Relic Reborn" you will find plenty of details. As far as Primal weapons, all my FC will tell me is that... Nothing, they actually refuse to tell me anytrhing. So, after research, I've found they drop on either Hard or EX(treme) modes. Which are 2nd/3rd best, aside from Darklight (to which, I know not of the stat comparison) and of course, Relic being the actual 2nd best, Relic +1 being THE best, but from what everyone s saying, the effort is more aimed at Min/Maxers and completionists... Like myself :3 As far as I'm aware, what you will WANT to do, is gather Darklight gear from Aurum Vale and higher dungeons

You can start obtaining your Relic Weapon once you've Defeated the Main Story, and I think you need to complete your Job Story also. THere's a man in Horizon who'll start the quest for you......

For the Relic weapon, this is mostly correct with the exception that it's actually not in Horizon, it's in Vesper Bay. So when you can't find it don't panic. When in doubt head to Vesper Bay for everything quest related.

As far as the Primal weapons, after finishing the whole main story you will unlock HM Ifrit, he is able to drop certain weapons, but each time you kill him he only drops 1 random weapon. After Ifrit you can return to Vesper bay to unlock Garuda, then again to unlock Titan. I haven't killed Garuda or titan yet, but i'm assuming they work the same way: a loot table of weapons and drop 1 item when defeated.

How do you continue the quest, if already started in 1.0? I assume you still need to complete the main scenario first but what then, still start in vesper bay and get jumped to the point you were?
