Gil Spam is unbearable at this point

The amount of Gil spammers on here is geeting so bad I need to blacklist 3 at a time. and on a PS3 this is very tedious. Please Square Enix start having better in game support and start dropping the hammer on these guys. it gone on to long already.now please white knights have your fun.

I honestly don't see why they didn't have the chat filters for this ready at launch. Knowing XI had the same problem and alrdy knowing how to fix it doesn't make much sense on there part.

I don't understand why there is no right click report/ignore. But what else do you expect them to do. There is no way to completely stop them they just need to be reported and banned and that stuff is not instant. A lot of them appear to be real accounts as well.

Please SE, figure out how to get rid of the Gil Spammers. For those of us on PS3 they have rendered the chatbox useless.

Is there an easier way to blist without having to go into the whole menu to type their name in? Like in XI, it was /blist add Name

On PC, you can make a 4th chat pane and customize the filters for it (just like the default ones). I made one that has all chat except /tell and /say disabled. Whenever I enter a city, I just switch to that pane until I leave. The RMT /tells are still pretty rare, likely because it isn't very efficient. If you can do this on PS3, it will make your life much easier.

I played FFXI over 5 years and never saw the amount of gil spamming as I do now. Shout is now usless because the only way to slow it down is to filter all shouts. Blacklisting is almost impossible on PS3 as Gil spammers use hard to read and remember names. We REALLY need a click on the name in chatlog with option to blist. Please adress this situation SE.

I just hope SE is getting the reports others as well as myself are sending them about these spammers. I know I send a report in the contact section at least once a day.

I agree. The simplest solution would be a right-click/subcommand, then ignore or report button in the chat box. Other than that, you can hotbar a macro to /blist tells, but I don't know a macro to combat shouters....

Got to say I'm more than a little but dismayed by all the gold sellers and the lack of reporting and ignoring features on the chat window.
