Characters Being Deleted?

I didn't have this problem thankfully but I wanted to put this here in case anyone who HAS. It was on a twitter feed.

For the first time since launch, I'm able to sign in. and the characters I made are all gone. all of them. and i can't make new ones.

Someone showed me this. Has ANYONE had this problem at all? I hadn't but I thought I'd put this up here since I don't think they can post on the forums. Has anyone signed in and found their character(s) completely deleted after suffering so many Error 1017s, Error 90000s, Error 2002, etc?

I'm going to guess that the tweeter is just nerd raging. Probably got the cannot connect to NA/EU servers, which makes it look like all your characters are gone. And then proceeded to vent on twitter.

No. That's strange...maybe he went into the wrong server or servers weren't up.

I am having a very similar problem, I reinstalled FF 14 on my ps3 from the disc and now it acts like I never created a character on my account before, I can however create new characters and login with them and find them when I login to the game again.

But the character to my left is missing and has been for days I think. I was last able to login with them on Thursday.
It is not a server issue but some form of an account issue since my character is obviously still around, I just or rather my account can not find them in the game.

Don't forget, he could have registered on another service account, and didn't realize it. Some people aren't too bright and would rather vent before making sure they aren't acting like an idiot. I would rather catch myself before acting like an idiot, because a lot of issues are user error.

nope sorry I checked I don't have another service on this account and have both characters on this account I just can not access the old character.
