I thought the npc's said that the calamity might have damaged the crystal at the fount where Odin was sealed in. Thus allowing him to escape his imprisonment. In any case, it doesn't really seem that Louisoix and Odin have any sort of relation with each other. I even doubt that Odin came inbetween the final moment of Bahamut.
Unless the crystal was damaged at that point (considering The Black Shroud took most of the attacks of Bahamut) and Odin instantly leapt towards Cartenau.

I called Odin being Hildibrand, considering he was the last to carry Odin's weapon. Of course, this was before it was known Odin was an Elezen..
I believe Louisioux will somehow be the new personification of the primal or his chosen, much like i beilieve van darnus will reappear in Bahamuts coil as a new personofication... power begetting power and such, who knows maybe with each new iteration of the astral/umbral periods perhaps new primals come about or are perhaps the primals choose who becomes the bearers of the mantles of power?

Well, this may not mean much, but the tattoos on Odin's face are not the same and Louisoix's. They're on either side of his eyes, not his forehead. You get a really clear shot of his face (albeit for a few frames) at 2:25 in this video:

And can someone explain who Hildibrand is? Was he a character in 1.0?
He was a comic relief character back in 1.xx (Male Highlander).Well, this may not mean much, but the tattoos on Odin's face are not the same and Louisoix's. They're on either side of his eyes, not his forehead. You get a really clear shot of his face (albeit for a few frames) at 2:25 in this video:

Personally I found him supremely annoying and never did any of his quest chains
Thanks for explaining that. I'd kept hearing about Hildibrand, but I never knew exactly who he was.
And Odin's defeat quote is making me wonder if putting him down is the right thing. "Thou knowest not thy folly. Forfeit is thy walking soul..." So, is he saying this just because he didn't get a chance to pass his judgment on us, or did Urth do something absolutely terrible and he believes that he's trying to prevent it? I guess we need to know more about Urth before we can really figure out Odin's agenda.
You missed out, imho. I admit I'm biased; I love the odd character in a heavy story that just seems to live on a different plane than everyone else. They're a little more oblivious, a lot more well-intentioned, and immeasurably more ridiculous... in moderation, they can do a story wonders by being its own commentator and/or foil. However, even the people I know who hated him when he first showed up were getting to be fans of Hildibrand by the end of 1.0. Treading the fourth wall, he asks all the same questions we as players might... and then does a horrible job of answering them and we all have a good time. Well, not you, apparently... but I did!

Uhmm.. the Louisoix theory is been around for quite some time, and seems like Odin has the same hair and beard both in shape and color. Might just be a coincidence to trick us.Well, this may not mean much, but the tattoos on Odin's face are not the same and Louisoix's. They're on either side of his eyes, not his forehead.
