About making new characters

I recently deleted my first character because I was unhappy with the way He had turned out so I decided to make a new character on the same server (since all my friends who started recently arent legacy) and now am unable to rejoin the same server i was on any clue when they plan on lifting that embargo on new characters?

Tl;dr when will i be able to make a new character

Unfortunately I don't think even SE know that answer for sure, but hopefully after tonights maintenance/server upgrades things should be smoother so I'd like to guess within a few days.

Thanks for the reply it just really sucks I deleted my old character not knowing about the block and now i cant even play with my friends or for that matter on a us server
