Players staying logged in for days - AUTO-KICK THE AFK'ERS

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but hearing about players boasting how they stay logged in for 3 days at a time is crazy.

It is seriously ridiculous to not have an auto kick feature if a player is AFK more than 20 minutes or so.

Do you not think having this would ease the strain on the data centres?

3 days into my paid gametime and I can't get in because these A-holes never log out.


- also, im an EU player, trying to log in to an NA server at 4pm GMT, that's not even NA peek time.

yeah this is pretty bad, and we did pay for this free time when we bought the game, so despite idoits reminding us we got 30 days free, well those 30 fre days are dissapearing with the inablity to log in. they really need to get a gm or dev on to take 5 secs and ban those gold sellers spaming and private telling us off for 1, then going to towns where heavy fates are done and boot all those afkers just standing there. i was in the 40's map the other day when i was able ot be logge din saw 20 people jsut standing there. i tryed to do a fate but between caster spaming there aoes, and everyone an the mother haveing a pet or chocobo summoned i could not see the fate boss and lsot out on the exp/points for it. then i mentio people should put there pets away and i get i should scrap my ps3 becuase it is crap and buy a computer lol. i do dislike the fact they get to have no visual problems when the game wasent design 100% for pc. i mean come on why do us ps3 user suffer and ahve to take such a harrasment and abuse ...

I have been logged in for 4 days because why risk not being able to get back in when I can just sit afk in my inn room while I am not playing? Don't log off if you know you won't be able to get back in, it is common sense.

Wind your neck in mate. Headstrong Jest? There is nothing jovial about my post. Perhaps if enough people moan or "bitch" as you say then SE will listen. If you have nothing to contribute then do one please, nobody asked you.

I wasn't trying to be original, how can you be with a problem like this. Perhaps if there was a decent statement from SE acknowledging the issue (and I mean the AFK issue here) then people wouldn't be complaining.

In all seriousness though, bitching about bitching is just as pointless guy. Yes yes I know contradicting myself, but sometimes one has to be an idiot to educate the idiots.

On topic, I do agree that something (even if it's temporary) should be done about these afk people. I see no logical defense as to why someone should be allowed to idle for hours on end, other than the current server issues. However even after these issues are fixed, why would someone need to be logged in for days on end?

First off its not that hard to get in. If you have nothing else to do and want to play that bad spam for 30min and you will get in. If you don't need to play that bad then stop complaining. Second square did not say they would not do it, they simply said that kicking those afk people will not fix the problem right now and they will look into it but are not devoting their time to it.

If the enhancements tonight don't fix this stuff I'm sure they will work on an afk kick but if there are no problems after the afk kick who the hell cares. There are way more people trying to get in than are afk so even if they kicked them it would still take almost as long.
