    Why does the world suck?

Please please please in the future add more difficult open world areas where it is actually a requirement for parties to progess through, maybe with open world coffers that have keys dropped from open world mobs that are higher level than level 50. Every mob in the open world that is not a FATE can be solo'd. The world is freaking gorgeous, let us explore it! I don't like just sitting in town waiting for the stupid ass dungeon finder to pop.

TLDR - PLEASE ADD MORE OPEN WORLD SHIT THAT REQUIRES TEAMWORK (NOT FATES). KTHX

A level one character will die the second it gets aggro from an Archer or mage monster. Like my level 10 character Chocoboing between Uldah and Gridania.

I did like that aspect from XI(i know this isn't XI, wKnighters). The danger of exploring a far off place cannot be replaced unfortunately. The dev team would say that's too hardcore though and that the 'casual' players wouldn't be able to progress through it... >.>

    I love exploring the world.
... but I love doing it without needing to drag my less-exploration-oriented friends with me.

There's plenty of things to do in groups. Meandering Eorzea doesn't need to be one of them.

Ya. The open range is kind of...limited...isn't that true!! It reminds me of Dungeon Siege for the 1st 15 levels so far. More of a linear action game instead of MMORPG. I like the huge, open, wild wilderness area's that take courage to explore. Face the danger and mayhem, bigger and badder mobs out there if you are not careful because they will eat your lunch without hesitation.

    from a recent interview

Mr. Yoshida explained that the team realizes that FATEs are quite popular right now and that the system doesn’t scale well for the amount of players that are showing up to do them, but they are currently betting on this being less of an issue once people move through the game and the “mad dash” is over.* We did press the issue to see if they would commit to adjusting things if they found FATEs to be the predominant way of earning experience and seals a couple months out from now and were told that the team would definitely take this under consideration if necessary, but for now, they are allowing players to have fun with it and that they are confident the issue will solve itself as the game matures.
Additionally, 2.1 will bring new Field content for players to tackle, so the team hopes that having more options will encourage players to take part in different activities.

but anyway yeah i agree the game needs more zones and mobs that takes groups to kill outside of fates

So what's stopping you from forming a group with friends and questing/exploring together? Seems to me you want the game to do it for you so you don't have to force yourself to be social. I group with friends all the time to do "solo stuff". Not because it's hard, I do it to hang out with them. My wife enjoys that too so she tags along.

The social aspect is what you make it out to be. Having the game force you into it is not the proper way to go. Granted this is a MMO so party play is inevitable, like story dungeons, but there is nothing stopping you from taking the initiative to make a party of your own to do everything else.
