[DEV] Walking and traveling NPC + etc...

FFXIV's world needs to look more alive. Please community reps pass this on the the dev team and Yoshi-p.

One of the most important aspects that this game is missing is walking NPCs. We need a bunch of NPCs in and outside of towns to be walking around. It sucks to see all the NPCs glued in the same spot forever, the towns would looks so much more alive.

We need weather inside of towns.

We need to give the world game a better overall atmosphere and have some event occur in towns and outside in the world map.

I don't understand this argument. How does having NPC walking around would make the game more alive? Isn't PLAYERS walking around makes the game alive? Or did I misunderstand something...

Instead of putting effort making NPC that walk around town, how about taking that effort and investing it to make the game bring new additional players to walk around town and make it feel more alive?

I do agree with this though. My guess is that they remove wheather effects from cities to prevent slowdowns (cities are already crowded, so whather effect wouldn't help). I can't really think of any other reason.
