I'd like to start building a list of things people enjoyed in 1.0 that they'd like to see make a return in A Realm Reborn.
I'll attempt to categorize and link all suggestions (Troll/joke posts not included <<< *With exceptions [See post #2 lol]).

I would really like to see weapon procs come back again. I can see primal weapons loosing them, but I mean Artifact Gear doesn't even have procs/enchancements. I'd like to further state that even +1 AF still doesn't have anything special attached... (Heavily edited for convenience)

The grass!...(lol couldn't help myself...)
But Hmm...I would like to see NM's return that are not FATE specific.
I'd like to say that there were few things I enjoyed as much as 1.0's first person camera.
You could zoom in/out, lock-on to targets and point the camera elsewhere without it snapping back to center the moment you let go of the analog stick/mouse, it just created a great cinematic experience not matched by the current 2.0 camera.
So, what I'd like to see return is what I talked about above, as well as the ability to "run" backwards while in first person mode (currently you take on a Standard method of control while "walking" in the opposite direction of where your camera is pointed).

Definitely this. Also, classic exp party grind as an alternative to jumping from one FATE zerg to the next every 5 minutes. And the ability to buy single items (or the desired amount of them) from a stack at the markets.
(I'd say a refined version of 1.2x's combat system as well, but eh... I think that one's a lost battle now. :/)
The original soundtrack!
No, I'm not saying they should get rid of the new soundtrack, put your pitchforks down~
I'm just saying they should add in the old soundtrack, too. ALL of it! Variety is the spice of life, yes?
PLUS, wouldn't it be cool if in some future expansion, you could teleport/dimension-leap/time-travel to old 1.0 zones?
Like how you use the Cavernous Maws in FFXI to travel back to older versions of the same places! What was that called? Shadowreign or something?
(I guess with the ps3 limitations this probably won't happen, considering how huge the zones were in 1.0. But maybe they could make it work somehow with a bit more instancing and tweaking!)

I don't see why people want non-FATE NMs. The whole reason they're in FATEs is so no one has to fight over who gets the kill. I think they do need to have more meaningful drops from those FATE NMs though. What would probably make more people happy is also if they had more of these NM Fates be invisible on the map like Odin is. So it'd be just like a normal NM, but no one would have to fight over the rewards and instead be working together.
Butts... Butts on characters
I'll just leave this here (Gluteus Maximus): http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...done-about-it!
*EDIT*
Virea Stark beat me to it, lol.
That butt thread is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen on the forums... and that's really saying something.
I was going to reply to this, but then I realized that it might end up derailing the thread because there are clearly a lot of people who feel very strongly about this topic (myself included).
So instead, I'll just say this: Everyone, please be civil and keep the thread on topic. If you disagree with someone (Even those you feel are trolling [Not related to above posts]) and find yourself unable to respond in a calm, collected and constructive manner, then just keep your cursor away from that reply/quote button.
