    Leveling

Is it easier to follow the quests to level up quickly, or to grind your butt off for hours on end to acquire experience and the chain bonuses?

It's faster to do your main story quest as well as side quests if you've been keeping up with them. At my level, even side quests are giving out 3k-4k exp. Levequests and guildheists also give pretty good exp, better than grinding IMO.

Thanks for the reply. I've been seeing a lot about how Fates give out a whole whack of experience. Your take on hat?

FATEs give great exp if you can find them for around your level. However, I hate hunting them down. If you don't mind searching for them or hanging out in an are where a couple decent FATEs pop up, you can definitely get some good exp in.

Like previous poster, doing main and side quests help and fates when you see them. When you unlock guildhests those give a good exp bonus on first completion.

Should you do "your own level" fates, or slightly higher level fates?

If you don't die and manage to receive the golden FATE reward (which takes more effort if you are lower level than suggested) you can feel free to go for higher ones as well.

Oh, well then. I guess I'll have to try out some fates. I'm never lucky in that situation, I only get to a fate when it's half dead already. Haha.

I don't really see a need to grind FATEs until lvl 30+ really... I haven't had a problem leveling just by following the main story quest and doing FATES when they are nearby. Then tackle the dungeons when the main story gets to them. And always keep up with your hunting logs. I've only done each dungeon once and I'm not finding it necessary to grind FATES at all. Albiet I am not too high of a level and will definitely look into doing my fair share of FATEs when I get a bit higher though (Probably mid 30s)... then if you just grind FATES you have to eventually go back and do all of your Main story quests which I find the thought of to be annoying doing really low level quests...
