    2hr Abilites (Yes Please!)? or (No Thanks!)?

    2hr abilities in XI were basically a special move that your job was given from the beginning. The benefits from the ability were so great that it took 2 hours before you could use it again. I am personally for a 2hr it wil help distinguish classes better. But I wanna know what every one thinks about it. So YES if you agree, and if NO explain why?

    I am absolutely for abilities to distinguish classes, but they don't need to have 2hr timers. Maybe 10-20 minutes if the ability is that super good, anything more than that is not necessary.

    Best part of two hours imo was.

    The strategy for long hard fights in FFXI had players 2 hrs in the mix. They kind of rounded the fight out to make it more easier or just possible to win. Even some 2 hrs are game savers, to a win which could of been a full wipe.

    I think over time we can see this happening in FFXIV once more content and lvl cap raises or of some sort. I'm sure we will get some sort of crazy ability//skill for each class.

    So YES I would like to see this in FFXIV. {Yes Please} ^_^

    No. 2hr abilities(most) were for the most part useless. All were extremely underpowered for an ability that is on a 2hr cooldown. To actually have an ability thats on a 2hr cooldown and be worth it most would then say "Its too overpowered!"

    I would prefer each job(when they are added) getting a 30min cd ability that is actually useful.

    edit: They also lasted about 20 seconds? 30 at most for some jobs. It was a horrible way to implement an ability overall. In the end they just were used for brief fun every 2hrs.

    No thanks, they were a little too situational, you can make useful class defining abilities without putting them on a two hour cooldown.

    IF they introduce 2 hour abilities (or something similar), I hope they only have the cooldown for THAT particular ability. Nothing was worse than using my 2 hour on PLD, switching to SAM, and not having my SAM 2 hour available.

    Being invincible for 30 seconds wasn't useful? Doing 5 minutes worth of attacks in 30 seconds wasn't useful? Completely healing your entire party wasn't useful?

    Thank you for typing that so I don't. I liked how two-hours added strategy to boss fights and such. Something this game sorely lacks.

    Some sort of Over Drive or 2 hour ability that completely defines the class and would also be able to change the tide of battle and allow players to create tactics and emphasize strategies.
