I also wonder this question. I have the Philosophy to spend as well...
What is the max materia melded stats with Determination, Crit Hit and Spell Speed?
Usually with the hq sets the primary stats MND, VIT are already maxed out...

Edit: If same kind of materia can be melded on to both hats, then the Rose Gold Circlet would be a better viable choice in case you would level up BLM/SMN later.

I think the Rose Gold Circlet might be the most appealing if HQ'd.

The INT and MND capped, should make it an attractive piece to White Mage, Scholar, Summoner, and Black Mage.

And I think short of Binding Coil, the item will not spiritbind, so you could potentially trade it off / market ward it (or keep it til' you have a better head piece for about four jobs worth).

if you want to use the other, classes then i can see the need for rose gold circ? other wise vanya hq, its already stat caped at that point on mind, piety, so i put one crit materia and capped, then put rest determination in mine personally.its up to you, but you would have to stack piety into the rose gold circ. Also you could stack more spell speed into the head i was just like fuck it lets make my heals fat. also quicktounge are expensive :<

I went with the poor man's rose gold circlet; warlock's hat. At the cost of piety, and spell speed for the crit and determination.
